A pair of multi-coloured shock-absorbing loopwheels with integral suspension, to help you push over uneven streets, rough tracks, grass and gravel paths, with less effort. The carbon springs in these wheels give you extra power to get up or down kerbs/curbs.
Personalise your wheels
Your own colour combinations are possible! As well as our black and colour wheel options, we can make wheels especially for you in a bespoke mix of any of our 7 colours: black, blue, green, orange, purple, red and white. We will add black logos unless you specify otherwise, or you are free to choose from our range of logo colour options. You can choose to combine 2, 3 or even 6 colours . . .
Please email us with your colour requirements and we’ll provide you with a timescale for making your order.
Why choose these wheels?
You’ll find loopwheels more comfortable than standard wheels: they absorb tiring vibration, as well as bumps and shocks.
The wheels fit most manual wheelchairs. Choose between 24″ and 25″ diameter, and with or without Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres. These wheels have a standard axle bearing diameter of ½” (12.7mm). If you need a 12mm axle bearing instead of ½” then please contact us.
Loopwheels are optimised for adults. If you weigh less than 50kg, you may not feel as much benefit from the loopwheels suspension as some one heavier.
Tyres are not included in the price of the wheels, but can be ordered in addition.
Also available to buy separately are ½ inch diameter quick release axles (contact us if you need 12mm diameter). We stock the most common length axles of 99mm, 104mm and 109mm. Other axle lengths are available from other suppliers. We may be able to obtain these for you if you need longer or shorter axles.
- We also offer silicon push rim covers to aid grip on standard push rims.
- And a padded carry-bag for your wheels.
These items are all listed on the menu.
Push rim options
The basic price includes black powder-coated aluminium push rims ready fitted to the wheels. Alternative push rims and the complete prices are listed , including the fabulous CarboLife range of ergonomic hand rims from Germany.
We stock a range of ergonomic push rims, not all of which are listed here. If for example you prefer the Para-Grip pushrim from Carbolife, please contact us as we’ll be delighted to discuss what you need.
